We’re bringing a fresh take on coastal dining, Italian-American favorites served right by the sea.

From our Neapolitan-style pizzas baked in our brick oven to classic pastas, fresh island fish, and hearty steaks, every dish celebrates simple, flavorful cooking and the joy of dining by the ocean.

During the day, Kai is laid-back and lively, the perfect stop for pizza, burgers and a cold beer between surf sessions. As the sun sets, the lights dim, the candles glow, and Kai transforms into a relaxed Italian-coastal dinner spot right on Ali‘i Drive.

Pair your meal with one of 48 brews on tap (one of the island’s largest selections), a Huggo’s Mai Tai, or a glass from our growing list of wines and craft cocktails.

Our team brings the warmth of aloha to every plate and pour, creating moments that feel easy, flavorful, and uniquely Kona. After all, kai means “sea” in Hawaiian… and that’s exactly where you’ll find us.
